Scrappy Pinwheel Quilt

I started to document this quilt in progress ... and then ran out of time. The quilt had to be finished in a scramble, and it never even occurred to me to take pictures of the finished project.

I made the quilt for my wee baby Zara  with some scrappy pinwheels. It's just a little quilt for a little baby. It's a scrappy quilt so meant to be put down on the floor under a changing pad, or on a counter.

Oh well .. here's the work in progress part.
Let the games begin

Attaching the binding on the right side - the binding on back goes on by hand.

Bobbin Tension Test

This is where the hand-sewing begins

Where all the magic happens

Setting Up the Mitred Corner

Mitre Success!

Scribbling with thread is pretty much what free-hand quilting is like

Yeeaaaah .. this is going to need a little bit of finagling
Binding on, now to attach it to the back of the quilt

Scribbling with thread - just like I said

This is how it all comes together

Oh bugger ... unpicking tiny quilting stitches is painful

Finishing a spool of thread is so satisfying
