This is an old project that I made a year ago for a precious baby in my life. It's a pretty panel, that just need some texture added with needle and thread.
I love these panels because you can can get away with a minimal of sewing, but you can also go nuts if you're so inclined.

The other nice thing about these little panels is they make a great hand quilting project, because they're small enough to move around. The hand stitching makes for pretty lines too, don't you think.
I wish I had taken pictures of the back, because the co-ordinating fabric at the back with the dark stitches looked so pretty.
The finished project made me pretty happy. I'd forgotten how enjoyable hand quilting is.
